Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using Ashiraj. By accessing our platform you agree to be bound by these terms.

Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Ashiraj website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”) operated by Ashiraj Education Pvt. Ltd. (“Ashiraj”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform in any manner, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you are not authorised to use the Platform.

Important: These Terms include an arbitration agreement and class-action waiver that affects your rights in the event of a dispute. Please read Section 11 (Governing Law) carefully.

Your Account

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Platform. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

Account Security

You must notify us immediately at support@ashiraj.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account. We will not be liable for losses caused by unauthorised use of your account if you fail to notify us promptly.

Our Services

Ashiraj provides the following services through its Platform:

  • University shortlisting — personalised university recommendations based on your academic profile.
  • Profile evaluation — assessment of your application strength relative to admission criteria.
  • SOP Builder — tools to help draft and refine your statement of purpose.
  • Test preparation resources — study materials and guidance for GRE, GMAT, IELTS, TOEFL, and other exams.
  • Community and forums — peer interactions and Q&A with students and alumni.
  • Counselling services — one-on-one sessions with education counsellors (available as a paid premium service).

Ashiraj reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at any time with reasonable notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of services.

User Conduct

You agree not to use the Platform to:

  • Post or transmit any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state your affiliation with any person or entity.
  • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any other code that may damage or interfere with the Platform.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its related systems.
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to collect information from the Platform without express written permission.
  • Use the Platform to send unsolicited communications (spam).
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Platform.
  • Use the Platform for any fraudulent or illegal purpose.

Ashiraj reserves the right to remove any content and suspend or terminate any account that violates these rules, without prior notice and at our sole discretion.

Intellectual Property

Ashiraj's Content

All content on the Platform — including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, data, and software — is the property of Ashiraj or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Platform (your profile data, SOP drafts, etc.). By submitting content, you grant Ashiraj a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform.

Third-Party Links & Services

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services (such as university portals, payment processors, and social login providers). These links are provided for your convenience only. Ashiraj does not endorse and is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party sites or services. Accessing third-party links is entirely at your own risk.

Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Ashiraj does not guarantee that university shortlists, admission predictions, or profile evaluations will result in admission to any institution. All recommendations are based on historical data and statistical models and do not constitute a guarantee of admission.

University admission decisions are made solely by the institutions. Ashiraj is an information and guidance platform — we do not make admission decisions and cannot guarantee outcomes.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ASHIRAJ AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE PLATFORM.

IN NO EVENT SHALL ASHIRAJ'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO ASHIRAJ IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR INR 5,000, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ashiraj and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, third parties, or the integrity of the Platform.

Upon termination, all licences granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, and indemnification) will survive.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
