Adlerbert Foreign Student Hospitality Foundation Scholarship

As an international student at the University of Gothenburg, you can apply for a scholarship from the Adlerbert Scholarships Foundation. 

You need to have studies during three months during the scholarship year which is between 1 of July to
30 of June. You don’t need to be a student at the University of Gothenburg when you apply.

A guest student is a non-Swedish citizen who is in Sweden with the purpose of studying at the University of Gothenburg and intends to go back to the home country or equal, either after their studies or internship or
similar. You can be either a free-moving student, an exchange student, a guest researcher etc

The scholarship is awarded as a one-time payment, and in recent years the amount has ranged between 4,000 and 6,000 SEK.

To be eligible for the Adlerbertska Hospititality Foundation:

• You should be a guest student at the University of Gothenburg and intend to return to your home country after your studies,
• You must be registered at the University of Gothenburg during the scholarship year (between 1 of July 2025 to 30 of June 2026).
• The study period should cover at least three months,
• You do not receive Swedish study support (CSN),
• You do not have a permanent residence permit (PUT) in Sweden,
• You have not received the scholarship before.

International students at the University who do not intend to remain in Sweden after their studies, internship, or similar activities are welcome to apply. 

This includes free-movers, exchange students, guest researchers, etc., at all levels (undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral).

The application is made in the University's application system. Please use your email address that you use in the Student portal at the University of Gothenburg. 

No Need of CV,Personal Motivation Letter or so, it is enough that the application is submitted in the application system.
